Full time for LL.M. and SJD students is 8 credits per semester. Full time for J.D. students is 12 credits per semester.

You also need to take enough credits to complete your program by the end date on your I-20. Taking the minimum number of credits each semester will not give you enough credits to graduate by your program end date.

Federal regulations require that you complete all program requirements by the end date on your I-20.

Anytime you wish to drop below the number of courses required by your program in a given semester, you must contact your international student advisor immediately!
