Asset Life Cycle Management approach great succes
Dankzij de enorme input van de WCM summer school in 2014 heeft Liander toentertijd een geweldige beslissing genomen in het vervangen van alle transformatoren van voor 1970. Het gestructureerde plan om de overige transformatoren gelijkelijk te vervangen door de Amarfe transformatoren blijkt nu zijn vruchten af te werpen. Vrijwel alle edele metalen zijn inmiddels uit onze aardbodem verdwenen, aluminium is wel nog voorradig. Dit is gunstig voor de bedrijfsvoering van Liander omdat hierdoor de in 2014 ingezette standaardisatie toepasbaar blijft.

Liander decided three years ago on three new improvements, making them the most reliable and sustainable grid operator. First, they did research on using electric vehicles for storage to avoid load-carrying capacity problems.

Peaks in electricity demands became higher, causing problems for the load-carrying capacity of transformers. Instead of replacing all transformers for new transformers with
higher load-carrying
capacity, Liander started already in 2014 with research on influencing the load. By using electric vehicles for storage Liander avoided huge investments.

Using Asset Life Cycle Management in a decision matrix helps Liander in making choices on which transformer to use. Instead of only looking from a technical and economic
perspective, they also start looking from commercial, compliance and organization perspectives.

By expanding their technical oriented decision model with economical, sustainable and organizational aspects Liander now makes solid decisions on when to replace distribution transformers.
New strategy for Life Cycle & RAMS/LCC management at Alliander
Alliander is planning to use Life Cycle & RAMS/LCC management to support society in its transition to sustainable forms of energy. This will help to save an estimated 50 polar beer each year thanks to a decrease of CO2 pollution. To help the transformation to the new strategy they copied the golden rules of NedTrain:
