Transcript of Woolite vs. Tide

photo credit Nasa / Goddard Space Flight Center / Reto Stöckli In a world with so many different laundry detergents... But when Sally spills tomato sauce on her favorite dress... THE DETERGENT APOCALYPSE RISES Sally doesn't know how to remove the stain... Sould she use TIDE or WOOLITE? TIDE Option 1: Tide detergent is known for dealing with heavy duty stains. It contains four different enzmyes: protease, amylase, pectinase, and mannanase. Protease breaks down proteins (grass, blood, butter, and tomato sauce). Amylase breaks down starch-based stains (ice cream, gravy, and sauces). Pectinase breaks down pectin-based stains (fruit juices and jelly). Mannanase breaks down barbecue sauce, salad dressing, and ice cream. Enzymes can also improve the appearance and feel of fabrics by helping to maintain whiteness or keep colors bright. WOOLITE Option 2: Woolite does not contain enzymes. This is because Woolite is normally used for more delicate clothes which otherwise would be harmed by enzymes.
