Perhaps the most important aspect of ergonomic guitar design
By removing weight from headstock, you can remove weight from the body and still get a well-balanced instrument
Balance
A heavy headstock may create imbalance and cause tension in fretting arm
Compensated by adding weight to the body, leading to heavy instrument
Removing the headstock aligns weight with body's center of gravity and reduces tension
Position
Body shape needs to place body comfortably
Horns and cutaways should guide instrument to natural position
Wrist Position
Standard neck causes severe bend of wrist
Potential cause of Repetitive Strain Injury
A Torzal Twist neck relaxes the wrist in its extended position
A slight fanned fret relaxes the wrist in its near position
Trapezoidal Neck Profile* relaxes muscles in hand
