Prezi Transcript

ICN provides connections in all of Iowa's 99 counties. How can I ensure that my reservation does not get overbooked? Open access rooms are dedicated video sites. All video sessions occurring over the ICN must be scheduled through the VOSS scheduling software. There are two types of rooms: Open Access and Approval Required Approval required rooms are sites that require approval from the facility management in order to be reserved for a session. Video sites can be used for non-video sessions. -conferences -meetings -face-to-face For this reason, it is recommended that a no transmit is put into VOSS to reserve open access rooms to prevent double booking. A no transmit means reserving a video room for another type of use other than video conferencing over the Network. To submit a no transmit, simply enter a reservation into VOSS to reserve the video site, the same way you would make a reservation for a session. For more information on how to submit a no transmit please refer to the ICN website: www.icn.state.ia.us When you reserve only one video site, the "attribute" will default to no transmit. For those users who reserve more than one site in the same reservation, please make sure to change the "attribute" to no transmit, otherwise the video session will run and there will be a charge. Attributes refer to parameters where the users can modify session settings. -no transmit -point-to-point -multipoint -broadcast For long term site blocking for instances such as site remodeling, submit a no transmit to prevent numerous site reservation requests.
