Why: This event is put on by the Puyallup Public Library as part of the Puyallup Festival of Books. We will be celebrating the conclusion of the Sammy Keyes mystery series, with publication of Sammy Keyes and the Kiss Goodbye. There will be food, presentations by students, contests, surprise guests and music!
How: You can go online and purchase tickets for $5 or if you read 2 Van Draanen books and write her a letter I will give you a ticket for free! I'll be giving away 6-7 tickets (first come first serve). You have to turn it in by Friday, September 26th to get free tickets.

She is excited about the release of the last book in the series, Sammy Keyes and the Kiss Goodbye.
Growing up, Van Draanen was a tomboy who loved to be outside chasing down adventure. She did not decide that she wanted to be an author until she was an adult and used writing to help deal with family tragedy. She soon stumbled upon the joys of writing for children.
What is the greatest reward in writing?
