Our common humanity Remember, colleges and universities are corporations, too Hierarchical Traditionally, they're: Closed- door How can a strongly hierarchical organization with many levels teach flat organizations and network skills? How can an exclusive organization teach inclusiveness? How can an elitist organization empower and serve ordinary people? How can a siloed, fragmented organization teach holistic thinking, organization, and action? How can a closed, need-to-know organization teach openness and transparency? How can an organization accountable to the powerful few empower and become accountable to the powerless many? Suppose you're the kind of person who wants to change the world through business... ... and you want to grow
your business knowledge
and learn useful skills... But you want to
live by your principles
and honor your ideals,
whatever you do! (Let's say that your
determination to stick
to what truly matters
to you has gotten a
bit stronger recently,
too.) Whose
wouldn't? So, you look around
for, say, an MBA program... An MBA that's about
sustainable business! Social
entrepreneurship! Environmental
justice! Local
living
economies! And you find a whole
bunch with "sustainable"
this and "socially
responsible" that... But, you know
something? Very few of them
practice what
they preach VERY few We know enough about
sustainability now to know
that there MUST be an
absolutely genuine
commitment to: How can you even think
of pursuing sustainability
in business without attending
to these? Do colleges and
universities live by
these today? NO An MBA designed to
change the world Generally... Siloed We're democratically
managed We're both a worker
and a learner coop We're a benefit corporation
and a B-Corp. We're totally dedicated
to turning management
education on its head,
for the common good AND WE MEAN BUSINESS Elitist Sustainability's
integrated throughout
our curriculum... But we also PRACTICE
what we teach Transforming!
Regenerating!
Flourishing!
Thriving!
Honoring!
Empowering!
Liberating! An MBA for
business revolutionaries! Research-driven,
NOT
Learning-driven, or
Mission-driven and in management
and social science,
a lot of the research
isn't very relevant
anyway Notice:

- Affordable
- Practical
- Experiential You're not a student,
you're a member, for as
long as you want to be a
part of our learning
community (which could
be a lifetime) After all, why shouldn't
matters of justice and
accountability be named
and right out there in
the open?
