MOST: Making difficult choices
This movie clip will bring students face to face with making impossible choices. What is the right thing to do? What makes something right and something wrong?
»
Who/what determines right from wrong? ...your conscience? ...your God? ...your community? ...no one? What is your personal standard of right and wrong? How will you make big decisions when there is no "good" option/answer to pick? Do you think you could do something incredibly hard and sacrifical if it was "the right thing" to do? How do YOU decide what is "right" and what is "wrong"? How will you predict the consequences of your decisions before you make them? Are there choices for which there are no "right" or "good" options/answers? We will watch a short clip from the movie "MOST" (Czech for bridge). In this clip a father (bridge operator) brought his son to work for the day. Watch as the characters make very quick and difficult decisions and see if you agree with their choices. Did the father make the right choice? What makes his choice right or wrong? Would you have made the same choice?
