Welcome to the Weekly Writer Club From the Director Judy Steidl began the Weekly Writer Club in 2009 to give families new and exciting ways to integrate Language Arts and Technology in the elementary grades. She has taught all grade levels in multiple settings such as homeschool, private school, and public schools in both the United States and abroad. Her home base is southern California, but she works in cyberspace and loves it! Our School Program One Semester You can also join one semester at a time: Fall or Spring. You receive unlimited access to the WWClub for all family members in Grades 2-8 (pre-high school). Don't get lost in cyberspace because one semester can go by fast! The tuition is amazing at only $99 for the family for four beautiful months of learning, blogging, and making new friends! Our Mailbox Program Awards and Honors Our full year program is from September through May. You can join anytime of year; we'll get you started right away when we receive your application (one per child) and your tuition through PayPal, snail mail, or your district purchase order number. We recommend joining for the whole school year for maximum benefit. Keep your writing skills active, your brain in gear, and your friendships going strong in the Weekly Writer Club Summer program. Amazing kids share summer adventures in some wild and crazy virtual places including a European tour, galaxy road trips, international geography guessing games, stop-motion film directing, creative writing, and good old blogging. Oh yes, survival on Fantasy Island. The whole point is to have fun having fun while writing! The Mailbox Tutor provides customized writing assignments, editing, and grading for $99 per person per term. You can mail up to 2 compositions (from the same author) per week, and we'll send you evaluative feedback and optional letter grades based on a writing rubric. You can join both the WWClub and Mailbox Tutor simultaneously or one at a time. The Mailbox Tutor program is our only program open from K-12, but there is a limited number of students who will be accepted. The Weekly Writer Mailbox Tutor is a fun combination of "You've Got Mail", and a private writing tutor at one fourth the expense of hiring a tutor by the hour. How would you like your own business cards? What about a certificate when you accomplish something special? What about a cool insignia for your Club Profile? What about a Letter of Achievement at the end of the year to put in your school file? Success is fun and we want to give you lots of encouragement, awards, and honors. It doesn't matter how old you are; everyone has an equal opportunity to get awards and certificates. Safe, Secure, Protected The online Weekly Writer Club is totally private. It is behind a virtual cement wall that not even a search engine spider can see.
