The Negative Effects of Technology
on Our Literary Skills Resources & Citations BY: The Fantastic Four Social Impacts Educational Impacts Global Impact Reading it good for you , you know... We can talk to anyone in the world at any time we want, all at a click of the mouse.

However we lose so many of the human characteristics of conversations by talking over the Internet.

People no longer want to have a real face to face conversation anymore. Featuring: Casey SImeon Dallas Dominguez Ethan Dunbar And Mohamed Soliman Twenty years ago every person
on Earth, wrote physical letters to each other to communicate. Ten Years ago if you miss your
favorite TV show, the only way
to see it again was to wait for the show to air on the re-runs. Technology Is Making Us Impatient We are so busy trying to get
everything done all at once,
we no longer have time to
engage in hobbies or spend
time with our family. Yea! No weird kid going to
collect me! The past two generations of children no longer read for pleasure anymore. There was a study that compared students with a computer at home, and students that didn't have one.

Students with personal computers had lower test scores compared to their peers.

The reason was, the students were playing games and talking to friends on social networks, instead of studying and learning. There's another study don on college students. There were two groups, one group watched CNN Headline News without the "scrolling news bar" at the bottom, and the other group watch CNN normally.

The group that didn't see the "news bar", remembered far more details about the news stories compared to the control group.

The reason was technology is overloading us with so much information that we can not process everything at once. So many online educational resources today do the very same thing, and the learning process become ineffective. Because of texting and social media, many of today's students have very poor skills in grammar, punctuation,
and spelling Technology is advancing so fast, if we don't take a step back, and fix our foundation... We may forget how to be human. The End Articles Photos Clock: http://www.sxc.hu/photo/1373852
