Scalpel
T-pins
You need..... Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Remember..... Credits Divide the grasshopper by head, thorax, abdomen
Observe head parts……
Labrum upper, lip hold food
Mandibles, chew food
Compound eye
Antennae, to feel Head parts Decide if it’s a male or female
Using forceps and scalpel remove wings
Using scalpel cut down the middle back
Male or female? If it is a female…..
It will have eggs
If it is a male…….
You won’t find any eggs
You will find the crop and intestines
