Lower Level Welcome to the
Seattle Pacific University
Library Reading Room Tech Desk This area provides a space to work on group projects. Each desk provides access to dual-monitor computer stations. Some journals in the library are stored on microfilm. This area houses the microfilm as well as a microfilm scanner Archives The Lower Level features print journals and magazines. See the links for online journals. The University Archives serves as the repository for the records documenting the history and activities of SPU and its predecessors: Seattle Seminary and Seattle Pacific College. Seminar
Room The main level of the library contains computers, magazines, and books. The librarians' offices are located here, and the reference desk is open for questions on how to research class assignments. 2nd Level The second floor houses the first half of the general book collection. There are also study rooms, carrels, and work tables that provide a place to study or read. Circulation Desk 3rd Level This is the top floor of the library. It offers five conference rooms for a place to work collaboratively as well as study tables, carrels, and a faculty/graduate study area for quiet studying. The second half of the general book collection is housed here, and so are some specialized collections. The media room offers a computer, VCR, and DVD player connected to a big-screen TV to satisfy your media needs. Click the globe to reserve the room. Come to the Circulation Desk to checkout books. Make sure to have a valid I.D card with you. There are also Reserve titles available that have been provided by your instructor. Librarians are available at the reference desk to provide assistance with books and journals in the library, as well as searching online databases. Reference Desk Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 10am-8pm
Friday: 10am to 6pm
Saturday: Noon-6pm
Sunday: 3pm-8pm The Reading Room houses the most current magazines, journals, and newspapers. There are armchairs for reading and collaborating. Also, Thursday Food for Thought is hosted here. For more information on Thursday Food for Thought click the globe. This shelf houses the DVD and VHS collection The SPU library is located in Martin Square, providing a central location on campus that is easy to access for everyone. General Book Collection K-Z Includes a Computer/TV workstation with the option to plug in a personal device These large study rooms provide an area to collaborate and a great view of Martin Square. Click the globe to reserve a room. Black and white copying/printing is available for $0.10 per page. The devices require Debit Dollars loaded on to your Sea Pac Pass.

SPU students may check out iPads, headphones, notebook computers, and other technology tools.

Consultants staff the Tech Desk during normal library hours and are available to assist with your digital scholarship projects (e.g. iMovie, Wordpress).
